THE LIFE AND TIMES OF GREG JOYNER

A CAUTIONARY TALE

About Gregory L Joyner

Gregory L. Joyner, a former inmate who garnered attention from prison authorities for his dedication to self-improvement and empowering fellow inmates, embarked on a mission during his incarceration. With the approval of prison authorities, Greg collaborated with chaplains and imams to develop educational materials and programs, laying the foundation for what would later become known as "Project Drive." His commitment extended beyond prison walls, as he pledged to continue his efforts upon release, aiming to inspire others on their journey towards redemption.

A year after regaining his freedom, Greg established the non-profit organization "Project Drive Inc." This initiative focuses on providing essential resources and guidance to at-risk youth and formerly incarcerated individuals, facilitating their successful reintegration into society. Greg emphasizes the importance of recognizing and overcoming personal challenges, including triggers that may impede progress.

In addition to his work with Project Drive, Greg engages with public schools to promote the employment of formerly incarcerated individuals, advocating for their inclusion in society. His firsthand experience lends a unique perspective to his speaking engagements, particularly in the Eastern United States, where he is in high demand as a speaker.

As a community leader and Capacity Building Specialist, Greg is reshaping perceptions and empowering formerly incarcerated individuals through education and advocacy. He sets a new standard for realizing dreams and is dedicated to training and equipping individuals with the tools they need to advocate for themselves and effect positive change.
